We gather with our newest member, Resi.

You gathered to vote a few weeks ago, and we've been hard at work with some darn talented people continuing to develop From Mat To Table.

The logo is born. That statement is so simple. We like to give you 'simple.' But there's always so much purpose behind every detail we offer you.

Take a moment to relax and unwind. Maybe even pour yourself some refreshing kombucha or a juicy glass of wine. Continue to share in our journey through this story.

Today we welcome a new member to our tribe. Our leader, and arguably the happiest guest at From Mat To Table.

A true positive spirit.

A present guide.

A humble guest. We honor you, Resi.

Our Buddha's name translates to: Gatherer.

Resi's effort is to bring clarity to the path that helps us attain endless peace in our hearts.

When we gather we harbor the opportunity to become enlightened. When we gather we leave positive imprints on each other and ourselves. When we come together we share offerings of ourselves, and these energies flow freely through us, to those around us, and back into the universe. These positive interactions and dharmic actions lead to good health and happiness. We offer peaceful interjections of compassion for all living creatures everywhere.

The mat and table are both simple destinations. Simple destinations with powerful potential to heal through presence, reflection, food and togetherness.

Our Buddha, buddy, lama and guru will be the mind's eye as we flow freely and serve lovingly with you.

Namaste Resi. And, Namaste to you.

Roots - Private Event

So many things in life start small. First kiss. First event. First risk. We don't always know exactly what we are getting ourselves into, and today, that's okay. Our minds continue to chant, don't overthink it. Be present. This feels right. Universe, we trust you. This is our gift to you. All of the good energy that surrounds this adventure, makes the little steps forward...kinda, just, glide...

Last night was our first, small private event. Our goal will always be to provide our guests with quality experiences that keep them coming back again and again.

We started on our mats. In an easy, seated meditation, eyes closed, attention centered on the muladhara, the root chakra. We shifted our interest to our breath. Growing curious, we began to find and resonate with the mantras associated with the root chakra. I am safe. I am secure. I fear less. I trust more. I have everything that I need.

As the mantra faded away from the minds eye, we flowed through a rooted and grounding asana sequence. When we bowed forward and said 'namaste,' we could feel the debris from our week slowly clearing away.

After a beautiful hour on our mats, outside, with each other, we flowed to the kitchen.

We gathered with open hearts and empty stomachs. Eager to 'digest' a new tip from the kitchen. There was a warm welcoming and new sense of community and togetherness. Just as we created awareness around the root chakra during our yoga class, we literally fed the root chakra in the kitchen. A savory roasted root vegetable appetizer, smothered in Italian herb ricotta, honey, cranberries and roasted walnuts. Cheesy risotto, topped with pan seared scallops. Accompanied with a medley of roasted root vegetables, including parsnips, sweet potatoes, rutabagas, carrots, butternut squash, garlic and onions. And mama said, 'eat your greens!' So we served you some sautéed broccolini. Yes, dessert, we squeezed it in. God-bless the recommended attire (see our FAQs page). And God-bless yoga pants. Last night we literally inhaled homemade carrot and ginger mini cakes. Topped with a dollop of Grandmom's 'light' egg-white frosting. NAMASTAY-for dinner. For real. And really, for real...there were no doggy-bags. (Insert sad emoji here).

The evening was truly therapeutic and healing. Some may say, 'time flew by too fast.' We say it's easy to lose track of time when you're in the right place, at the right time, with an amazing tribe.

So where are we right now, at this very moment? Present. Present and grateful.

Welcome to our adventure. We have so much to be grateful for today. And we will cherish every step of the way we share with you. Today we are present and patient, but so eager to start this incredible dream. We will stay mindful of our intention for this small business partnership, to flow freely and serve lovingly. We will gather together on our mats and around the table. We will give thanks and offer up gratitude for everyone moment we have to breath together. We will strive to provide you with endless love and quality events, hoping you will come back with your tribe, again and again. Namaste.
