Exactly one year from the Navratri retreat with Savitha, the sangha gathered again. This time a new private venue. Everyone was welcomed as the long afternoon hung onto the summer weather. Our mission with each experience is to cultivate awareness of the present season to refuel the mind-body-spirit with exactly what it needs.
The yoga challenged our minds through clouds, sunshine and two humorous ‘sprinkles of blessings from above’ with nowhere else to be … but right here … amongst 108 raindrops. The yoga intended to leave our bodies feeling more free, open and aligned. And, the intention for this experience was so direct: every layer of Prana will be resonating with gratitude, Sanskrit: कृतज्ञता, Kṛtajñatā.
Our Practice opened and closed with ancient Sanskrit and primordial beats of OM. A blessing to the teacher and the student. A closing honoring all seers and protectors through all realities.
And as the sun set and chanting softened, we rose from savasana, one sangha, to dine together under the stars…and we flowed From Mat To Table.
This menu included Savitha’s Indian spice and Karli’s Italian soul ~ set over four courses. The chefs treated everyone to food from the earth, their yard and local gardens. Colors, flavors and textures danced with us from the kitchen to each dish … and with the hum of mindful conversations we nourished the mind-body-spirit.
To Begin: infused beverages, an artisan board & farro salad
To Nourish: butternut squash, coconut & brown butter sage soup
To Savor: handmade pasta, spiced Indian sauce & roasted chickpeas, served with garlic-herb roasted vegetables
To Finish: almond pizzelles & cardamom-saffron shrikhand with cinnamon-apple syrup
The plates were cleaned. The edges of the lips soft. And the gentle spirit oh so full of Gratitude. As always, we hope you carry this practice off the mat and into your conscious movements…out there.
Om. Shanti. Love.
